Cross Country: Cajuns Ranked 15th In USTFCCCA South Central RegionPublished by
USTFCCCA Regional Rankings NEW ORLEANS After a pair of second-place finishes in its most recent events, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's cross country team was ranked No. 15 in the South Central Region as the USTFCCCA NCAA Division I Regional Cross Country Rankings were released on Monday. Louisiana, one of four Sun Belt schools ranked among the nine regions and one of three in the South Central Region, earned a second-place finish last Saturday at the McNeese Cowboy Stampede in Lake Charles. The Ragin' Cajuns finished behind team champion McNeese, ranked No. 8 in the South Central Region. The Ragin' Cajuns were joined in the South Central Region by UT Arlington, ranked No. 6, and Texas State, ranked No. 14. Appalachian State, ranked No. 13 in the Southeast Region, was the fourth Sun Belt school to earn regional rankings. Louisiana will return to action on Oct. 10 when it travels to Tallahassee, Fla., to compete in the FSU Invitational.
