Cross Country: Limoh Wraps Up Successful First Season For Cajuns At NCAA ChampionshipsPublished by
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. Freshman Stanley Limoh recorded a disappointing ending to a still successful inaugural campaign for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's cross country team after he finished 193rd overall at the NCAA Men's Cross Country Championships on Saturday at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course . Limoh, the first UL athlete to compete in the NCAA Championships in 45 years, recorded a time of 31:35.4 in the 10,000-meter race that included a field of 251 runners. The freshman, who earned three first-place finishes in his first season with the Ragin' Cajuns, finished along side of Colorado's Christian Martin as the duo ran at a 5:05.2 mile clip. Patrick Tiernan of Villanova claimed the men's individual title with a time of 29:22.0. Northern Arizona claimed the men's national title as it scored 125 points to finish ahead of Stanford (158), Syracuse (164), Ole Miss (196) and Arkansas (206). Oregon claimed the women's crown as it scored 125 to edge runner-up Michigan (126). Colorado (134), NC State (233) and Stanford (255) rounded out the top five.
