Cross Country: Ragin' Cajuns Head To UALR For Final Cross Country Tuneup

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns cross country team will make its final tuneup on Saturday before competing in next month's Sun Belt Conference Championships when it competes in the UALR Invite at the Rebsamen Golf Course.

The meet begins with the women's 5K race at 10 a.m., before the concluding with the men's 8K race at 11. Final results will be available on www.RaginCajuns.com

The Ragin' Cajuns will be joined in the event by Sun Belt rivals UALR and Arkansas State along with Central Arkansas, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Arkansas Tech and McMurry.

Louisiana returns to action after a solid performance at the 41st annual FSU Invitational last week (Oct. 11) in Tallahassee, Fla.

Freshman Logan Pearce paced the men's team with a 10th-place finish his second top-10 finish in an 8K event this season while Anna Katherine Devitt paced the women's team finishing 14th overall for her third top-15 performance.

Corbett Ourso, Trey Bonin and Jacob Chicola each finished in the top-25 for the Ragin' Cajuns on the men's side with Claire Hodges, Genevieve Roy, Jessica Donald, Camille Barnett and Kaylei Esfeller each posting season-best times in the 5K.

After finishing the meet on Saturday, the Ragin' Cajuns will compete for the Sun Belt Conference championship on Saturday, Nov. 2 in Troy, Ala.
