LAKE CHARLES Damon Guidry and Ricky Theyard each recorded top-10 regional marks in their respective events and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns track and field team claimed 10 first-place finishes as it competed on Saturday at the McNeese Spring Time Classic at the McNeese State Track Complex.

Guidry and Theyard were joined by Craig Rock (men's 400-meter hurdles), Spencer Nezat (men's shot put), Richard Delphin (men's hammer throw), Kyle Baudoin (men's pole vault), Kayla Thompson (women's 200-meters), Lindsay LaGarde (women's 800-meters), Amie Leitko (women's discus) and Tamela Young (women's shot put) as first-place winners for the Ragin' Cajuns.

Guidry claimed the men's high jump after clearing the bar at 7-0 - the eighth best mark in the NCAA East Region this season. Theyard claimed the men's triple jump after posting a mark of 51-1 - the 10th-best distance regionally.

Baudoin and Matt Wilson finished 1-2 in the men's pole vault for Louisiana with Baudoin clearing the bar at 15-11 and Wilson clearing 15-5.

Delphin claimed the hammer throw crown after his toss of 178-1 on his second attempt moved him past eventual runner-up Michael Seither of Southeastern Louisiana. Nezat recorded a toss of 46-8 on his final attempt in the shot put to edge New Orleans' Nicholas Mitchell (46-7 ) to claim top honors.

Rock clocked a time of 53.91 to claim the men's 400-meter hurdles with Austin Ley finishing fourth (55.60). Jacob Chicola posted a time of 4:00.15 to finish second overall in the men's 1,500-meter run with Sean Bouzigard recording a throw of 180-9 to finish second in the javelin.

Leitko posted the top throw (179-9) on her first attempt in claiming the discus title while Young produced a throw (48-7 ) that was three feet farther than second-place finisher Kenya Wheeler of Grambling. In the women's pole vault, Alexa Johnson finished second overall for the Ragin' Cajuns, clearing the bar at 11-9 .

LaGarde helped Louisiana to a 1-2 finish in the women's 800-meters, crossing the line in 2:17.77 with Courtney Broussard finishing at 2:25.37. Hailey Hesterman clocked a time of 4:56.40 in the women's 1,500-meters to finish second while Broussard (5:07.26) finished fourth.

Thompson, who finished fourth in the women's 100-meters (12.01) claimed the top time in the women's 200-meter dash (24.55) with Erica Stewart finishing second in the 100-meters (11.97).

Louisiana will return to action April 13-15 when selected members travel to Walnut, Calif., to compete in the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays.
