Track and Field: Cajuns To Split Time Between Meets On West Coast, South AlabamaPublished by
LAFAYETTE The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns track and field team will split up for three meets this weekend, including an appearance at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays beginning Thursday in Torrance, Calif. Ten members of the track and field squad will head to the West Coast for the Mt. SAC Relays with Beau Robinson and Stanley Limoh scheduled to compete in the 10,000-meter run on Thursday at 9:15 p.m. CDT. Action continues for Louisiana on Friday with Matt Rice (1,500-meters), Craig Rock (400-meter hurdles), Kayla Thompson (women's 200-meter dash), Hanoj Carter (men's 200-meter dash), Ricky Theyard (men's triple jump), Taylor Walker (women's triple jump) and Damon Guidry (high jump) scheduled to compete. The Ragin' Cajuns will then take part in the 23rd annual Beach Invitational, hosted by Long Beach State, on Saturday with Lindsay LaGarde (women's 1,500-meters), Limoh (800-meters), Rice, (800-meters), Rock (400-meter hurdles), Robinson (3,000-meter steeplechase), Thompson (women's 100-and 200-meter meter dash), Carter (men's 100-meter dash) and Guidry (high jump) scheduled to compete. Louisiana will also compete in the South Alabama Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Mobile, Ala. Men's pole vaulters Kyle Baudoin and Matt Wilson are scheduled to compete on Friday with Bailey Daigle, Alexa Johnson and Kimberly Rushford slated to compete on Saturday.
